Art education has an issue. Most students who pursue the subject beyond school, and into a career in the creative industries, will use AI throughout their professional lives. However, in key stages four & five, the assessment practice outlined in JCQ regulations prohibits students from receiving any credit for AI-generated artwork. The consequence of which, is that students are unlikely to experience of use AI at all in this final stage of their school experience.
